This month we are talking about COURAGE.
Courage is finding the strength to face something we think is hard or challenging. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to keep going in spite of fear. The willingness to stand up for what is right, or to try something new, even though it might be uncomfortable.
At RCS, our students show courage by meeting challenges and doing the right thing!
Dear Students, Families and Community Members,
Welcome to RCS!! Our theme for the 24-25 school year is “Rose City School – A Universe of Possibilities!” We continue to be committed to educating and meeting the needs of the whole child – both academic and social-emotional. Capturing Kids Hearts will continue school-wide to cultivate a school culture that is kind and caring and focused on launching our students into the world as leaders!
As Principal of Rose City School, I am deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of our children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children through Tier 1 instruction and providing both math and reading intervention, in addition to special education services for students needing additional support. It is our goal at Rose City School that all students develop into well-rounded adults who make a positive contribution to the world in which they live.
We invite you to become an active participant in our school community both by volunteering, attending and supporting school events. When parents support their child’s school, it sends a message to children that education is important and increases the likelihood of academic success for the child. Please know that I welcome your participation, support, and efforts as they are greatly valued and appreciated. I look forward to working with each of you this school year.
